Certified copies may be requested from the Court's records unit by mail or in person. If submitted by mail, include a pre-paid method of return, such as a self- addressed stamped envelope.
Requests for copies may be made in person in the clerk's office at the Justice Center where the case is filed or by mail. To request copies by mail, provide the information or copy request form along with a check payable to “Clerk of the Court.” DO NOT SEND CASH.
An Indian child's tribe uses this form to give information to the court about the tribe's position on issues in a case involving custody of an Indian child that is a member of the tribe.
Judicial Council Forms. To help you make sure that your court documents have the information the court needs, the California courts have created a set of court forms called Judicial Council forms.
If you would like to request judicial administrative records maintained by the appellate courts or the Judicial Council of California (the Council) you may submit your request by completing a Request for Judicial Administrative Records and sending it to the Public Access to Records Project by e-mail, U.S. Mail, or fax.
Call the court reporters office at 209-530-3105, providing the same information as a standard request. Note: Court files and minute orders will contain this information and must be provided to obtain transcripts.
