Use the Microsoft Office button to open your Word document. Use the “Review” tab to access “Protect Document.”
Select the format, edit and start time for the restrictions.
Choose “No changes (Read-only)” under the “Editing Restrictions.” Click “Yes, Start Enforcing Protection” under “Start Enforcement.”
How do you convert a Word document to a PDF file that is protected?
In the File menu, select the Info tab.
Within the Info tab select the Protect Document button.
Click Encrypt with Password.
Enter and confirm your password, then click OK.
Your document is now protected.
How do I lock a PDF from copying?
Protect PDF from Copying and Editing Go to the “Protect” tab, then click the “Set Password” button. Then select the option of “Permission Password”. Enter your desired password and permissions. Once confirmed, click on “Save” button to apply, and save your PDF file.
