Can I Mobile deposit?
With Wells Fargo Mobile deposit (mobile deposit), you can make a deposit directly into your eligible checking or savings account using the Wells Fargo Mobile app. Mobile deposit lets you submit photos of the front and back of your endorsed, eligible check. Check photos are not stored on your mobile device.
How does mobile deposit work?
Use your mobile banking app and smart-phone camera to snap a picture of the front and back of a paper check, then electronically and securely deposit it into your account. You save time and hassles by not traveling to a bank branch and not waiting in a teller line.
How long does mobile deposit take?
Deposits are subject to a hold period which could vary from 1 to 15 days. How long does it take for a check to clear if I use a mobile device to make a deposit? The time it takes for the mobile check deposit to clear will vary, depending on when the deposit is made and other factors.
Is mobile check deposit instant?
Because with ATM deposits, a banker may have to retrieve checks from the machine, then manually digitize them. However, some advanced model ATMs can instantly create an image of your check. With a mobile deposit, your checks are immediately digitized.
Are mobile deposits safe?
From download to deposit, mobile banking only as safe as your app. Once upon a time, depositing a check required actually visiting a bank. Similarly, apps should only be downloaded from a phone's native app store. Android users especially should be wary of anything that requires third-party permissions.
What does a mobile deposit mean?
Mobile check deposit, or remote deposit capture as it's known to banks, lets you deposit a check into your bank account by taking a picture of it with your smartphone or tablet.
Can you deposit a check online?
The back of the check would have to be endorsed by the person receiving the money into his or her account. The bank website will have instructions on how to deposit check online. If the bank you're depositing a check with has this option via an app or through SMS, then, yes, you can.
