Applicants are required to fill the KNEW Certification Application Form when requesting for certificate replacement. The form can be obtained from the KNEW Archives and Records Offices or downloaded from KNEW website. 2. Carefully fill in the details required and attach the relevant documents to accompany the form.
To certify a document you need to make a copy of the original. You will then need to go with the two documents i.e. original and copy to the person that is to certify the copy. They will then go on to write 'Certified to be a true copy of the original seen by me' on the document. They will sign and date it.

Take the original AND a photocopy to an authorized person. The most common authorized persons are police officers, school principals and pharmacists. The authorized person must write on EVERY PAGE of the photocopied document: 'I have sighted the original document and certify this to be a true copy of the original'.
How long does it take to get a result notification/certificate after successful completion of the examinations? The result notification slip is issued within two weeks after the examination results are issued. The COP Certificate is issued within six months of completing the COP examination.
A certified copy may be required for official government or court purposes and for commercial purposes. It avoids the owner of important documents (especially identity documents) giving up possession of those documents which might mean a risk of their loss or damage.
Applicants are required to fill the KNEW Certificate Replacement Form when requesting for certificate replacement. The form can be obtained from the KNEW Archives and Records Offices or downloaded from KNEW website: KNEW Online.
A replacement certificate will be issued within three (3) months from the date of request, subject to receipt of all the necessary documents by the Council.
To replace a lost KNEW Certificate, download Application for Replacement Certificate form from KNEW website; www.knec.ac.ke, fill appropriately and presented the form to KNEW offices in Nairobi. info@knec.ac.ke.
Misspell name on CSE certificate Apply for name amendment through the school. You will require; letter written by the school principal, copy of birth certificate and copy of the result slip/certificate.
