Ease of use was great and intuitive Ease of use was great and intuitive. Documents went from PDF into a word document really nicely. The only issue with changing PDF into Word docs is the font comes out a bit weird and can't seem to be corrected.

Personal data shall be processed fairly and lawfully Transparency should stretch to clearly informing the corresponding individual of your correct business information, how the data subjects information shall be used and that they are able to access that information upon request.
The GDPR outlines six data protection principles you must comply with when processing personal data. These principles relate to: Lawfulness, fairness and transparency — you must process personal data lawfully, fairly and transparently in relation to the data subject.
GDPR stands for General Data Protection Regulation. It's a game-changing data privacy law set out by the EU, and it's going to be enforceable from May 25th, 2018. But don't be fooled by the law emanating from the European Union.
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a legal framework that sets guidelines for the collection and processing of personal information from individuals who live in the European Union (EU). The GDPR mandates that EU visitors be given a number of data disclosures.
Data protection policy. Training policy. Information security policy. DPIA (data protection impact assessment) procedure. Retention of records procedure. Subject access request form and procedure. Privacy procedure. International data transfer procedure (where relevant)
Understanding GDPR. Identify and document the data you hold. Review current data governance practices. Check consent procedures. Assign data protection leads. Establish procedures for reporting breaches.
Some key privacy and data protection requirements of the GDPR include: Requiring the consent of subjects for data processing. Anonymizing collected data to protect privacy. Providing data breach notifications.
Under the terms of GDPR, not only do organizations have to ensure that personal data is gathered legally and under strict conditions, but those who collect and manage it are obliged to protect it from misuse and exploitation, as well as to respect the rights of data owners — or face penalties for not doing so.
In brief, asserting your company is GDPR-compliant means that you have ensured your business practices are in line with the business processes and technical safeguards outlined by the EU's GDPR legislation.
GDPR requirements apply to all businesses large and small, although some exceptions exist for SMEs. Companies with fewer than 250 employees are not required to keep records of their processing activities unless it's a regular activity, concerns sensitive information or the data could threaten individuals' rights.
The GDPR only applies to organisations engaged in professional or commercial activity. So, if you're collecting email addresses from friends to fundraise a side business project, then the GDPR may apply to you. The second exception is for organisations with fewer than 250 employees.
GDPR applies to any organization operating within the EU, as well as any organizations outside of the EU which offer goods or services to customers or businesses in the EU. That ultimately means that almost every major corporation in the world needs a GDPR compliance strategy.
The GDPR replaces the 1995 EU Data Protection Directive which generally did not regulate businesses based outside the EU. However, now even if a US-based business has no employees or offices within the boundaries of the EU, the GDPR may still apply. Thus, the GDPR can apply even if no financial transaction occurs.
One of the biggest disadvantages of GDPR was the amount that it cost for companies to get their data information affairs in order and in compliance. It took time and money. Fortunately, smaller businesses tend to have fewer data to worry about, so it was not quite as costly for them to get squared away.
The truth is that while some industries might suffer from stricter privacy regulation, as a whole, frameworks like the GDPR are a good thing for both businesses and consumers. They promote better data hygiene, better cybersecurity, and greater trust.
