The format is easy to understand and… The format is easy to understand and quite intuitive. Very quick loading times. My only problem is that text boxes do not align correctly to the pdf that I am editing - they are too high.

Place your cursor at the spot where you want to insert the symbol. Go to Insert > Symbol. Select a checkmark symbol to insert or do the following. Select More Symbols. Scroll up or down to find the checkmark you want to insert. Double-click the symbol to insert it into your document. Select Close.

Create a check mark symbol by pressing the Alt key and typing 0252 using the numeric keypad on the right side of the keyboard while still pressing the Alt key.
After accessing the “Insert” menu, find the “Symbol” tab. From this section, choose the “Font” option and select “Wingdings”. The tick mark will be found at the bottom of the list. This can also be accessed from the “Start” menu under the “Character Map” section (within System Tools).
Insert a tick in Microsoft Word Using its character code Once done, hold ALT and type 0252 to insert a tick mark. It's worth noting that this will only work if you use a numeric keypad. Sadly, the number bar along the top of a keyboard won't work.
Alt+251 looks like it will get you the check mark/root symbol. Unicode offers several dedicated check marks, of which the one you want is U+2713. Assuming that the code is 251 for the font in question, you would enter ALT + 0251 on the numeric keypad.
Open your Microsoft Word document. Double-click the Word document into which you want to insert a checkmark. Select a place to insert the checkmark. Click the Insert menu item. Click Advanced Symbol. Click the Symbols tab. Click the “Checkmark” icon. Click Insert.
