Recently tried to use a function that wasn't available to me which I thought the personal plan I had subscribed to gave to me. I had a chance to do the shoppers review survey and because of this gave them three stars. I was surprised to get an email from PDF filler offering me an upgrade to my subscription so that I could get all the features that I want free for a year. It certainly resolved my issue and I was glad to upgrade my previous rating of PDF filler to 5 stars! Great customer service!

What do you like best?
I like that the program is pretty intuitive and that I’m able to figure most things out on my own. I am able to erase and utilize previously filled forms that otherwise I might have to obtain from another source. The time and energy savings for me offsets the cost. In addition, I like being able to work on the program from a mobile standpoint - as long as I have cell phone or internet connectivity, I’m able to access and work on documents at my convenience.
What do you dislike?
Nothing that I really dislike. I still struggle with how to send a document directly out of the program to someone that may or may not have sufficiently updated software or skills to open. I’ve worked around this by saving the document and then sending from a cloud storage site.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I’ve used tillable Adobe programs and PDFfiller meets or exceeds the capabilities of the Adobe programs I have used.

What do you like best?
I love how I can get my work done even while traveling. The ability to create and manage forms easily is great, especially with my job's remote workforce.

Best customer service and software!
It's the easiest program for faxing from your computer, converting docs, signing forms, making forms editable. I love it. Above all, they have the best customer service I have ever received. Especially for a product that speaks well for itself. Anna, with tech support, was quick, efficient, kind, very knowledgeable and addressed my issue right away. It has been a long time since I can say that. Not listening to me and my problem has been my experience lately with other tech support from other companies. They want to give cookie cutter responses that don't address anything I was asking. Anna, you made my dreading to chat to support a rewarding experience. Thank you so much! I know I will not dread the next time I need support with PDFfiller.

Great online chat support!
Support when I've needed it has been great which I can rarely say about most companies these days. While the program tends to be a little cumbersome it works for what I need it to. When I have issues the online chat support has been great an very little wait to get to someone. John resolved my issue over the weekend and Kara fixed the one I had this morning - I really appreciate both their help!

Great Customer Service
I only needed the service for a specific period and thought I cancelled the service, until I was charged. I contacted customer service and gave every possible email address the service could be connected to, so I thought. None of those emails showed service connected to it, so they ended up submitting a trouble ticket. A few days later they contacted me to see if I was connected to another email address, and it was my husband's business, that I never thought about. Even though it automatically renewed, they responded that they would refund the charge.

User friendly
The interface is fairly easy to use, and there's a wide range of things to do with your document once your are finished. It's a bit pricey, but for the limited things I've needed so far, PDFFiller has been able to deliver.

Is vehicle registration an itemized deduction?
To deduct the value-based portion of your registration fee, you must itemize your deductions using IRS Form Schedule A. Car fees go on the line for “personal property taxes.” Nevertheless, if the fee is value-based and assessed on a yearly basis, the IRS considers it a deductible personal property tax.
Can you itemize state if you don't itemize federal?
If the itemized deductions for your state income tax return equate to less than your federal standard deduction, you could itemize on your state taxes, but wouldn't necessarily want to itemize on your federal taxes. California, for example, allows taxpayers to itemize on their state taxes, whether they itemize
Can you itemize deductions for state and not federal?
Many states will still allow you to itemize deductions on your state return even if you take the standard deduction on your federal return. Tax breaks allowed on state returns include real estate taxes, reimbursed employee expenses and deductions for federal income taxes paid.
Can I take the standard deduction on federal and itemize on California State?
California generally doesn't conform to the changes from the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, including the changes to what's allowed as an itemized deduction. This means you can include some things as itemized deductions for California that you're not able to include in your federal itemized deductions.

Taxpayers who itemize deductions on their federal income tax returns can deduct state and local real estate and personal property taxes, as well as either income taxes or general sales taxes. Which states still allow miscellaneous itemized deductions?
Six states and DC have taken this approach, including California, Hawaii, Kentucky, Maine, Minnesota, and New York. Maine is the only state that fully phases out itemized deductions for upper-income taxpayers (and also caps them for others).
Can you itemize state and not federal in Virginia?
Virginia's tax code does not permit taxpayers to itemize deductions on their state return if they use the standard deduction on their federal taxes. Let's hope that Virginia's lawmakers will approve this change early in the 2019 session.
Can you take standard deduction on federal and itemize on Virginia State?
If you itemize your deductions on your federal income tax return, you must also itemize them on your Virginia return. Complete the Virginia Schedule A, and attach it to your return. You can claim most of the same deductions on your Virginia return that you did on your federal Schedule A.
