A cumulative update is a complete server build with enhancements in functionality that Microsoft started with Exchange 2013. A roll up update, also released each quarter, consists of new security updates, as well as security fixes from earlier roll ups for Exchange 2010.

The steps for updating Exchange 2010 servers depends on which service pack you're currently running. If you're running RTM, SP1, or SP2, you'll need to install SP3 first, then apply the latest update roll up. ... Click the File option on the menu. Click Account Settings>>Account Settings. Here, select the Exchange Account with the Server name you want to check and click Change. In the Server Settings section, you can see the full name of your Exchange Server.
