It was a little challenging at first and the online help was a little overbearing to start. You should always assume that people know how to operate every aspect of there computer. I had a glitch and he was a little belittling to me which being 50 and having diabetes its hard for me to see sometimes and once i stated that his demeanor changed and he helped me finally.

Actually, I just came across this with a standard google search. I was using Adobe Illustrator and it was overkill and took ages to load every time I just wanted to update a PDF file. This has been awesome and so easy and quick to use! The 'Signature' option was a bonus as well!

How to Use the Redact Salary Object Feature in pdfFiller

The Redact Salary Object feature in pdfFiller allows you to easily redact sensitive salary information from your documents. Follow these steps to use this feature:

Upload your document to pdfFiller. You can do this by clicking on the 'Upload' button on the homepage and selecting the document from your computer.

Once your document is uploaded, click on the 'Redact' tab at the top of the page.

In the 'Redact' tab, click on the 'Add Redaction' button.

A redaction box will appear on your document. Click and drag the box to cover the salary information you want to redact.

After selecting the salary information, a pop-up window will appear. In the pop-up window, click on the 'Redact' button to permanently remove the salary information from the document.

Repeat steps 4 and 5 for any additional salary information you want to redact.

Legal Requirements Rule 5.2(a), titled Redacted Filings, provides that filings can only include the last four digits of a Social Security or tax ID number, the year of an individual's birth, a minor's initials or the last four digits of a financial account number.

Redaction Defined Redaction is the task of rendering passages in a document illegible because those passages are confidential or otherwise exempt from disclosure. The process to redact passages from a printed document is to obscure the text or images with a dark permanent marker.
Use the paper document method to redact a scanned file. Print out the paper document. Cut out the text that needs to be redacted. Use opaque tape or paper to cover the redacted sections. Scan the document and save it as a PDF.
