How much does a mailing permit cost?
The initial cost of the postal permit is $220 (one-time fee). There is also an annual fee of $220 to be paid at start up (and ever subsequent year). Total fees upfront: $440. NOTE: The addition of a vanity permit does not cost anything extra.
How much does it cost to get a bulk mail permit?
The one-time fee for a permit imprint authorization is $240. This fee is not waived by using full-service barcoding. If you use stamps on your bulk mail, you do not need to purchase a permit imprint authorization.
How do I get a bulk mail permit?
Download a copy of PS Form 3615, Mailing Permit Application and Customer Profile. Take your completed PS Form 3615 to your local Business Mail Entry Unit or Post Office. At the Post Office, submit your PS Form 3615 and pay the permit imprint application fee. Make your first deposit into your permit imprint account.

Are postage rates going up in 2020?
The rate for a First Class Mail Letter (1 oz.) for postage purchased at the Post Office is NOT INCREASING in 2020, remaining at $0.55. If you print postage online (via Stamps.com), the Metered Mail rate will also NOT BE INCREASING, with rates remaining at $0.50 in 2020, a 5 cent discount off the Post Office price.
How do I get a non-profit bulk mail permit?
There is NO FEE to apply for nonprofit status. However, you will need to pay an annual mailing fee when submitting a mailing and, if you decide to pay with permit imprint, a permit imprint application fee. When your application is approved, you will receive an authorization letter from the Postal Service.
How do I get a USPS bulk mail permit?
Download a copy of PS Form 3615, Mailing Permit Application and Customer Profile. Take your completed PS Form 3615 to your local Business Mail Entry Unit or Post Office. Do I need a bulk mail permit?
Before you can mail using Marketing Mail, you need to have a permit. Your permit must be issued by USPS. A vendor cannot issue a bulk mailing permit. There are two fees that apply to a new permit for Marketing Mail.
