Can you get through airport security with an expired driver's license?
If your driver's license is expired, don't worry about getting through airport security checkpoints. As of March 1, TSA started allowing people to use an expired license as identification at airport security checkpoints for one year after the expiration date.

Can you fly with an expired license 2019?
You can fly with an expired driver's license, but you will still be required to prove your identity. According to the TSA, that could involve using a different form of ID (e.g. a valid passport) or some other form of accepted identification or going through an identity verification process to prove who you are.
How long can you fly with an expired license?
Once your information is compared and your identity is verified, you will be allowed to continue through the security checkpoint.
