With Time cards, your team members can clock in and out of the Square app, and view or print their workday summaries. You'll then be able to track team member hours, breaks, shift history, and overtime online.
Sign in to your online Square Dashboard. Click Account & Settings (don't go to the Appointments section) Click Locations > click on the specific location you're working on. Scroll down and update your Business Hours as needed and click Save (top right) to save your changes.
Step 1: Enable Time cards in Square Payroll A four-digit passcode will appear. Record this passcode and deliver it to your employee. Your employee will use this passcode to clock in and out on your account in the Square Point of Sale app. Passcodes are automatically generated and cannot be customized at this time.

A conventional time clock is a mechanical device that stamps the time and date onto a paper time card. The employer will give each employee a time card for the pay period; it is the employee's responsibility to place the time card in the machine and punch the time card whenever they arrive or leave work.
Employers hang a time-card machine in a central location, and employee insert their paper time card in the machine upon arriving at work and upon leaving. These traditional machines then punch a hole or a stamp on the time card indicating a start and end time.
A Time card is used to record the times a user is working. Upon logging in to Web TimeSheet, the user punches in and out to mark the time they start and stop work, along with any comments they choose to enter.
A timesheet (or time sheet) is a method for recording the amount of a worker's time spent on each job. Traditionally a sheet of paper with the data arranged in tabular format, a timesheet is now often a digital document or spreadsheet.
You do this by dividing the minutes worked by 60. You then have the hours and minutes in numerical form, which you can multiply by the wage rate. For example, if your employee works 38 hours and 27 minutes this week, you divide 27 by 60. This gives you 0.45, for a total of 38.45 hours.
