Can you go to college with a CDOs diploma?
It is possible to complete high school with a CDOs Commencement Credential only. But, on its own, the CDOs Commencement Credential is NOT a high school diploma and CANNOT be used to apply to college, the military, or trade schools.
Can you go to college with a local diploma?
Although the Regents' diploma is preferred by college admissions departments, community colleges and some other institutions accept students with a local diploma. The local diploma is also accepted by the armed forces, trade unions, and for all similar opportunities for which a high school diploma is required.
What is a local diploma?
Meet a Student Earning a 'Local Diploma' in New York And What it Means. It's an option for students who can't get above a score of 65 on all their regents exams, but can get above at least a 45.
What is a local diploma in NYS?
New York State allows students to graduate with a local diploma if they get a 55 on Regents exams (65 is the passing score) but pass a Regents Competency Test in that subject, (an easier type of regents). A local diploma is seen as a regular diploma by military, colleges, etc.
What is the difference between Regents diploma and local diploma?
The tougher one, called a Regents diploma, requires scores of at least 65 (out of 100) on five Regents exams: in English, math, science, global history and United States history. The other type, called a local diploma, requires a 65 on three of those tests, and a 55 on the other two.
Can you get into college with an IEP diploma?
Admission of Students with IEP, Technical or Vocational Diplomas. APES does not accept IEP, Technical, or Vocational diplomas as the equivalent of a high school diploma. You may seek admission as a concurrent high school student, which means you must enroll in non-degree-seeking status.
