How do I know if a PDF is high resolution?

To find out the resolution of all image inside PDF, locate the “Image” section and simply double click one of the predefined profiles, for example “Resolution of color and grayscale image is greater than 250ppi”. If it returns a red cross, then it means that the PDF contains images that are above 250ppi.

How do you check DPI of an image?

To find out an image's DPI in Windows, right-click on the file name and select Properties > Details. You'll see the DPI in the Image section, labeled Horizontal Resolution and Vertical Resolution. On a Mac, you need to open the image in Preview and select Tools > Adjust Size. It's labelled Resolution.

What is considered a high resolution PDF?

PDF files are vector files, and they DO NOT have a resolution. ... The higher the resolution the greater the detail in the output image, but also the image has a larger size (in MB). A letter size page (612×792 points, 8.5×11 inches) when converted at 96dpi generates an image of 816×1056 pixels.
