What forms of ID are acceptable to get on a military base?
Acceptable forms of ID include a U.S. passport, a U.S. permanent resident card and a veteran's health identification card issued by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. A REAL ID is issued by the Division of Motor Vehicles.
Can you get on a military base with a driver's license?
Federal facilities no longer accept driver's licenses from five states as valid identification for individuals seeking entry without an escort, but some military bases are offering workarounds, granting grace periods, or continuing with current access rules that require more than an ID.
Can you get on base with a driver's license?
A Department of Defense (DoD) I. D is required when entering a base. If you are a passenger and do not have a DoD I.D. you can present a valid driver's license in most cases. Some bases will require scanning your I.D.

REAL ID ACT Means Military Bases No Longer Accept IDs from Five States. Due to the REAL ID Act of 2005, Department of Defense installations will no longer accept driver's licenses from five states, according to a news release from the U.S. Department of Defense.
Can I bring my girlfriend on base?
Girls are allowed to visit men in the barracks, but you cannot spend the night. You must sign in with the duty at the front desk. The door to the barracks room is supposed to be propped open during the visit. Rules may vary for different units, but usually you must sign out by 10 PM.
