The tool is a little hard to learn at first and takes some exporting and testing to settle on desired outcomes but was very happy with the end result. I canceled my use as i only needed it for one document but if i were regularly building docs like this i may have kept it.

How do I trim the margins on a PDF?
Crop a page using the Crop tool Choose Tools > Edit PDF. In the secondary toolbar, select Crop Pages. Drag a rectangle on the page that you want to crop. Double-click inside the cropping rectangle. To apply these settings to more pages, set the page range or select All under Page Range.
How do I print a PDF with area for notes?
Tip: Double-click the comment pop-up to open the comment. Click the Print icon or choose File > Print to open the Print dialog box. In the Print dialog box, select Document And Markups from the Comments And Forms drop-down list. Your pop-up comments are visible in the Preview pane.
Can you edit margins on a PDF?
Use the EDIT option and click on the HEADER AND FOOTER button. Choose ADD and a window will pop up. Enter the margins you want in the MARGIN section on the top right of the window. Then click on the hyperlink that says APPEARANCE OPTIONS .
