How do I dispose of old rubber stamps?
The simplest way to dispose of a rubber or self-inking notary stamp is to deface the engraved rubber that has your notary information. This part is usually located at the base of the notary stamp.
How do you recycle rubber stamps?
Recycling the Stamp's Individual Materials. Remove the ink pad from the stamp. Compress the stamping mechanism and engage the retention clips on either side of the plastic casing. Then, press the release button in the center of the unit to eject the ink pad.
How do you take apart a stamp?
Push stamp down slightly and push buttons on side to lock into position. Pull out ink pad. Put 10 – 20 drops of Trod at / Ideal Ink on the inked side of the pad. Once the ink has absorbed into the pad, push the pad back in.
How do I Rank an ideal 50 stamps?
Push down the stamp about 1/4” to the lock line and then slide red button into lock position. Pull out ink well. Stop when you hear a click.
How do you dispose of expired notary stamps?
Remove the rubber from the bottom or base of your stamp, being careful to not get ink on your hands. Cut the rubber polymer into pieces with scissors to ensure it is properly destroyed. Throw the pieces of rubber into the trash.
How do I dispose of a metal notary stamp?
To destroy a self-inking notary stamp, put the stamp case upside-down on a non-slippery surface and push down on the case to expose the stamp surface. Carefully peel the rubber impression pad away from its base. Cut up the pad with a pair of scissors.
Can you use an expired notary stamp?
If the notary stamp is expired, at the time of the notarization, then the notarization is not legal or in effect. If the notary stamp on the document passes its date of expiration, after being done within the effective time period within the stamp date, the document and the notarization are still in effect forever.
How do you destroy endorsement stamps?
Carefully peel the rubber covering from the base, and then use a sharp scissor or razor blade to cut and slice it into pieces so that no decipherable words or letters are left together. Discard the pieces in two or more trash containers. Empty the containers according to local laws.
