I just started to use PDFfiller and like the ease of completing pdfs, and logical flow of the app! Also love the send fax feature although while it seemed to work well from the desktop app, it seemed to hang when faxing from my galaxy Note 4 (just kept spinning and I had to force stop the app)-- will have to try faxing more to see if it was a device or app issue.

Is it OK to backdate a contract?
In terms of private contracts, backdating isn't normally illegal. Where issues of legality come into play is when the parties involved in a contract, or their legal counsel, make use of backdated documents. For legal reasons, you should avoid using backdated documents.
Can you backdate contracts?
Many jurisdictions allow for contracts that have an effective date that is earlier than the date that the documents were signed. This is commonly known as “backdating.” Just because you're able to backdate a contract in your area, though, doesn't always mean it's a good idea to do so.
Can you sign a contract retrospectively?
The law does not support the blanket conclusion that a retroactive effective date in a contract is only enforceable when the evidence demonstrates that the parties had agreed to the material terms of their contract as of the retroactive date.

Backdating a document is potentially a criminal offense under section 17 (false accounting) or section (false statements by company directors) of the Theft Act 1968 and in certain circumstances it may also constitute forgery or conspiracy to defraud.

When should a contract be dated?
If a contract does not specify its effective date, it goes into effect on the date it was signed by the person to whom the contract was offered for a signature. If this person's signature is not dated, then the contract is effective the moment the agreement left his hands.

A deed on the other hand should never be backdated. Remember a deed must be in writing and as such the legal obligations created in a deed can only come into effect on (or after) the date of execution.
Can a notary backdate a document?
Backdating a document may seem harmless enough, but under no circumstances should a notary public include a date other than the current date of the signing. Backdating is both unethical and, more importantly, illegal. Including a prior date on the document can come back to haunt notaries later down the road.
