Make sure that the security settings allow form filling. (See File > Properties > Security.) Make sure that the PDF includes interactive, or fillable, form fields. If you can't type in the form fields, then the fields are probably not interactive.
Open any document in PDF Studio 9 or above. On the menu bar select Forms→Create/Edit Form. This will open up the Form Field Toolbar. You can now edit the Create/Edit forms on the PDF document as needed. ( Once complete click on Stop Form Editing to close the toolbar.
To edit a single form field, double-click it or right-click it and choose Properties. To edit multiple form fields, select the fields that you want to edit, right-click one of the selected fields, and choose Properties.
If so then you can use the form tool(s) to remove all the form fields. That'll leave you with just your PDF page content. Go to Form Edit mode (Tools — Forms — Edit), select all the fields in the list and press Delete, then return to the normal viewing mode and save the file.
If you can't edit a fillable PDF after saving it, there are a couple of reasons. Firstly, the form field properties within the PDF might be set to read-only or locked by the creator, restricting further edits. Secondly, some fillable PDFs may have saving restrictions enabled to preserve the entered information.
To resolve this, follow these steps: Step 1: Open the PDF Document. Step 2: Access the "Prepare Form" Tool. Step 3: Select Form Fields for Editing. Step 4: Open Form Field Properties. Step 5: Unlock the Form Fields. Step 6: Finalize Changes. Step 7: Preview and Save. Step 8: Save and Close the Document.
If the fillable fields in a PDF show as blank after getting filled in, the PDF will need to be printed to a new PDF to resolve this issue. This is typically caused when the PDF is filled using something other than Acrobat (i.e., a web browser or other PDF editing software).
If you can't type into a form field on a pdf, it may be due to a browser's default viewer for pdfs. Fillable forms require Adobe Acrobat or Acrobat Reader/Acrobat DC to fill them out online or on your computer. Many browsers use a different pdf viewer by default that doesn't support fillable form fields.
