PDF Filler Beats Adobe Sign For Me
I have used PDF Filler for about three years now and their customer service and platform are wonderful. Previously, I was using Adobe Sign but I found it way too expensive and cumbersome to use. Can you notarize a document you prepared?
Notaries Can Not Notarize Their Own Documents The short answer is no, a notary public cannot legally notarize his or her own document.
What do you write when you notarize a document?
Do you solemnly swear or affirm that you personally know this person as (name of person whose signature is to be notarized), and that he/she is the person named in the document to be notarized (so help you God)? Where does a notary sign on a document?
Make sure the document has a space for the notary to sign and place their seal. This is usually near the end of the document or near the place where you will sign. The seal and signature of the notary public serves as an authenticating mark.
Can I notarize a document with a different date?
Yes. If the document is dated in the future, there is nothing in the law that prohibits you from notarizing it as long as you clearly indicate the date you notarized the signature of the signer on the notarial certificate.
Can I notarize a document without a date?
Notaries are sometimes asked to notarize a signature on a document that has no date on it. If there is no date, you can still notarize the signature as you normally would, provided that all other requirements for notarization in your state are met.
