Text Object. Text objects are used for adding information to the document, such as labels etc. They can be moved around and positioned anywhere in the sheet area, even to areas covered by other sheet objects. It can also be accessed from the Object menu, when the text object is the active object.
Step 1: Open your image. Step 2: Add your text. Step 3: Duplicate the Background layer. Step 4: Drag the copy above the Type layer. Step 5: Choose the Quick Selection Tool. Step 6: Select the area that will hide the text. Step 7: Refine the selection with Select and Mask. Step 8: Output the selection as a layer mask.
Go to Edit Stack and choose View Edits. Now click on the Text Layer and choose the second option. Leftmost option is used to apply the effect and (arrow down & arrow up) is used to select the Opacity of the effect.
Go to the tools panel and select the Horizontal Type tool. Click your image where you would like to insert text and type a phrase. When you're done, press Escape to exit the text field. Notice that a new layer with your text has appeared in the Layers panel.
