If you want to password protect a PDF document for signing — use our verification process. Simply add a password to the signing invite to prevent fraud. Make sure that you have informed the signer about the password so that he can access the document.
Select Invite to Sign and find the Advanced Options button.
Click Advanced Options, and you’ll see a new menu displayed.
Choose None and then select Password.
Type in a password in the relevant field. After you click Send Invite, the encrypted document will immediately be sent to the signer.

How can I lock my PDF file?
You go to print as PDF, click option, and choose To encrypt the documents with a password. This will lock PDF, and will require password to view documents.
How do I encrypt a PDF with a password?
Open the PDF and choose Tools > Protect > Encrypt > Encrypt with Password. If you receive a prompt, click Yes to change the security. Select Require a Password to Open the Document, then type the password in the corresponding field.
