I used it for tax documents forgot to cancel subscription after use. Got charged 96 dollars and two days later I requested a refund and within seconds had someone helping me and processing my refund. Service is excellent and product is best on the market.

Does way better than I expected

Not sure how I "subscribed", yet PDFfiller honoured their policy of full cancellation and FULL REFUND.
I'm IMPRESSED !!!
The went further and added an offer of a further FREE TRIAL.
If their products are as good as their service, I'll definitely intentionally subscribe at some stage in the future ... after South Africa's political siege they call "Lockdown".

Student charged 115€ despite cancelling free trial – very disappointed
I am extremely disappointed with my experience on pdffiller. I had signed up for the free trial, made sure to cancel it before the end, and yet I was still charged €115.20 for a full annual subscription without my consent.
I am a student, and this unexpected charge has pushed my bank account into overdraft, causing me financial stress. I never agreed to any paid subscription, and when I log into my account, it still shows as “free”, proving that I had cancelled on time.
After checking Trustpilot, I realized that many other customers are facing the exact same issue — this seems to be a recurring problem.
I have contacted customer support and sincerely hope they will resolve this quickly and refund me. But this situation is really unfair and unacceptable.

How to Use the PDF-XChange Editor Lock PDF Feature
The PDF-XChange Editor Lock PDF feature allows you to secure your PDF documents and prevent unauthorized access or modifications. Follow these steps to use this feature:

Open the PDF-XChange Editor software on your computer.

Click on the 'File' menu at the top left corner of the screen.

Select 'Open' to choose the PDF file you want to lock.

Once the PDF file is opened, click on the 'Document' menu.

Choose the 'Security' option from the drop-down menu.

In the security settings window, click on the 'Lock Document' tab.

You will see various options to customize the security settings for your PDF file.

Select the desired options to restrict access, such as password protection, permissions, and encryption.

Enter a strong password in the 'Document Open Password' field if you want to require a password to open the PDF file.

Choose the appropriate permissions for your document, such as allowing or disallowing printing, copying, editing, and form filling.

How do I lock a PDF in Change editor?
Document password protection Open the File > Document Properties. A document properties window will open. Select the Security tab. From the dropdown menu, select Security method > Password security.
What is exclusive mode in Open-Xchange?
Alternatively, Exclusive Mode can be used to give the active tool priority over all other document content. It is available in the Format Tab when applicable tools are selected: Click to enable Exclusive Mode and then use tools as normal. Click it a second time to disable Exclusive Mode.
Can you unsecure a PDF?
Choose Tools > Protect > Encrypt > Remove Security. Remove Security: The options vary depending on the type of password security attached to the document. If the document has a Document Open password, click OK to remove it from the document.
