How do you copy a table of contents as a text?
The Table of Contents is a field code, so it can be converted to text by unlinking the field code. Do the following: Highlight the entire Table of Contents. Press Ctrl + Shift + F9 (Windows) or Cmd + Shift + F9 (Mac) to unlink the field code.
How do I remove a table but keep the text?
Select the table. Go to the Tables Tools / Layout tab on the ribbon. Press Convert to Text.
