How do you reset your Common App account?
Once you create a Common Application Account, there is no way to manually delete it, but you can make sure you no longer receive any correspondence from the colleges listed in your account until it expires and is automatically deleted. Log in to the account you wish to delete.
How do I delete my common app account?
Log in to the account you wish to delete. Click the “My Colleges” link on the left side of the window. Click the “Remove This College” button under every college in the list. When you click this button, you will be prompted to confirm that you want to delete the college from your list.
How do I Unsubmit my common app?
If you need to change information on a submitted application, you must contact the college's admissions office directly to ask how they would like you to proceed. For future submissions, you may make changes to any application's information at any time.
Does your common app account expire?
Submitted applications and recommendation forms are not saved from year to year. However, you can always roll your account over if you would like to apply again. Please note that some information, like school-specific questions and recommendations, will not roll over.
Can I make a new Common App account?
Yes, you will need to create a new account. You can create an account here. Note that you can use the same email address that you used for your original Common App account.
Can I delete a college application?

A student is permitted to edit their Common Application for other institutions to which they have not submitted, however please know that once submitted to your school, any changes they then make to their Common App will not reflect in your records.

In order to make changes to an essay after you submit an application to a college, students will need to unlock their applications. Students cannot make any changes to an essay once it is submitted to a college. Any remaining colleges would receive your last essay version.
