A perfect user-friendly PDF Editor `*I usually don't look forward to doing PDF editing as it is usually a nightmare. Nothing lines up, missing a feature you need, doesn't save correctly, or you can't send it, etc. This is the first PDF editor that I actually have fun with, super user-friendly, fast learning curve, yet looks professional, is feature rich [in fact it has features the others don't have], and no problems saving and sending or later editing it again down the road. What makes a digital signature legal?

Digital signature or standard electronic signature is actually a coded, encrypted, legally binding digital footprint. The digital signature is made of unique encoded messages one for each signee that join together to make a complete, legally binding, standard electronically signed document.

What is the legal status of a digital signature or e-signature?

Electronic signatures have the same legal status as handwritten signatures throughout the United States, thanks to the DESIGN Act and the Uniform Electronic Transactions Act (BETA).

Is an e signature valid?

Simply put, yes, digital signatures are valid and enforceable. As long as certain requirements are met, they have the same legal effect as their written equivalents. The parties must consent to the electronic signature. In a B2B context, consent can be circumstantial, but for consumers it must be affirmative.

Can a will be signed electronically?

Can I just type my name as a signature?

Anyone could type a name on a form for it to be legally binding there must be a way to prove the typed name belongs to the person it represents. Simply typing your name into a document cannot tie the signature to the document.
