What is a haproxy stick table?
Stick tables are in-memory storage spaces that run inside the load balancer process. They store data about traffic as it passes through the load balancer.
What is HAProxy and why is it used?
HAProxy, or High Availability Proxy is used by RightScale for load balancing in the cloud. HAProxy is installed with RightScale load balancer ServerTemplates. Load-balancer servers are also known as front-end servers. Generally, their purpose is to direct users to available application servers.
Is HAProxy still used?
In December 2022, the latest version of HAProxy, 2.7. 0, was released. This open-source software is both a proxy and a load balancer, and is immensely popular due to the sheer volume of features it provides to help reduce or even avoid downtime and manage web traffic.
What are the cons of HAProxy?
Cons of HAProxy HAProxy does not support POP/SMTP protocol and SPDY protocol. It also does not support the HTTP cache function. Support for Multi process mode is not good enough.
