I had been looking for something which works on phones & chromebooks as well as computers. It's great this operates 100% in a browser and works REALLY well. Has some limited zapier support and has decent integration with g-suite. The support, including one emergency thing, has been much better than average. There are some additions which I feel could make pdffiller absolutely a star, but it's more than functional and easy to use today.

They don't have all language support. They should add more language support.

I really enjoy how user friendly the program is. If I had any complaints, it would be that I have to change the size of the font if I am updating a previous document that I edit.

It is not that I was not satisfied with the program, it provided me with everything I needed to complete my work tasks remotely. However, I am on a limited budget and took advantage of the free trial opportunity. My intention was to cancel my subscription prior to renewal, but unfortunately I experienced a death in the family and was unable to cancel in a timely manner. Click Choose file. It's a gray button at the top of the page.
Select the scanned file.
Click Open.
Click Upload + OCR.
Scroll down and click Download.
Click Microsoft Word (DOC).
Open the document.

Is there an app that converts photo to text?
Android doesn't have a ton of apps that can turn images into text documents, but of the ones available, Google Goggles is free and does everything it promises to do: copy text from an image and let you paste it anywhere.
