Can you prevent printing a PDF?
To prevent printing of a PDF file, uncheck the "Allow the document to be printed" option. You must always enter a master password when security options are enabled or when a user password is set.
Why does my PDF file size increase when printing?
The size of the raster data increases by four times if the dots-per-inch (dpi) in the file increases by two times. For example, a . pdf file of 1 megabyte (MB) may generate an EMF spool file of 500 MB. Therefore, you may notice that the printing process decreases in performance.
Why are Microsoft print to PDF files so large?
The PDF files created using the Microsoft Print to PDF printer can be very large as they are not optimally compressed and do not provide any mechanism for changing the resolution of the graphics. Enabling JPEG2000 image compression in the Advanced tab of the PDF Options window can also reduce the PDF file size.
