To unlock an individual note, right-click on the title of the note, then choose Lock Note from the popup menu again. You can also toggle the lock/unlock state of a sticky note by clicking the lock button in the top left corner of the sticky note.
Open Start. Search for Sticky Notes, click the top result to open the experience. Click the Settings (gear) button in the top-right corner. Under "General," turn on or off the Enable insights toggle switch.
Click the Start button to display the Start Menu, and then choose Sticky Notes. Type sticky in the search box and select Sticky Notes in the result. Press Windows+R to show the Run dialog, input stikynot and tap OK.
Type in the address bar "shell:startup" and press ENTER. With the Startup folder open, open the Start Menu (or the Start screen) and find the shortcut for Sticky Notes. Drag the Sticky Notes shortcut to the Startup folder opened in File Explorer (or Windows Explorer).
Open the Windows Ink Workspace from the taskbar. Select Sticky Notes. Write your reminder note, and be sure to include a date or time. Tap the time or date when it turns blue. Tap "Add Reminder." Correct any errors and click Remind.
Go to the sticky note, click on the top left button and choose "Lock note". This will lock the note. When you want to unlock it later, the password will be asked.
To lock all sticky notes so that the notes cannot be edited, choose Lock Notes from the icon right-click menu so that there is a check mark next to it. ... To unlock an individual note, right-click on the title of the note, then choose Lock Note from the popup menu again.
You can help keep your private notes safe from prying eyes by protecting a OneNote notebook section with a password. When a section is password-protected, all of its pages are locked until you enter the correct password. Right-click the section tab you want to protect and then choose Password Protect this Section.
Open the notebook you want to protect. Right-click the tab of the section to which you want to add a password. Choose "Password Protect This Section" to open the Password Protection pane on the right side of the window. Click the "Set Password" button in the Current Section area of the Password Protection pane.
When OneNote tells you that the section is password-protected, press the Enter key on your keyboard (or click the message with your mouse). When prompted, enter the password to unlock the section. Tips: Check the following if you can't unlock a section with a password: Check the spelling of the password.
