With the exception of the scam you have going to get people to sign up for your service... (i.e., On a holiday I came into my office to get work done quickly so I could then spend time with my family. I was soo pleased with your service as it let me upload a document and seamlessly edit it for 2 hours and the peace of mind that everything was working properly as your program continually provided feedback saying that 'all changes have been saved'. Then when I finally finished, after triple checking my work and feeling thrilled that I could go celebrate the holiday and be with my family, I selected the big bright button that says, Done!. And only THEN, after 2 hours of work, did you tell me, there is an error and I need to sign up for your program. You should be ashamed of yourselves. I was so excited to tell other people about your program and how well it works. After being scammed, ripped off in terms of money and precious time, I won't be telling anyone about your service. If you prefer to keep me as a happy customer, perhaps you will find a way to make up for this inconvenience (e.g., give me a discounted membership, upgrade my membership, some other kind gesture?) and correct this misunderstanding that you are covertly enticing people to use your program with an inconsiderate scam. I'd love if you followed up with me about this survey. Thank you. Sarah

If you lie on an application, more than likely the truth will be found out before the lease is signed. Landlords give the applications to potential renters for the sole purpose of following up on them. ... Lies about previous rentals, addresses and backgrounds will be found out. Criminal history will also be uncovered.
It is not illegal to lie on a rental application unless your signatures under penalty of perjury. It may, however, serve as the basis for an eviction.
Landlords can retrieve information about past rental history, criminal records, and conduct a credit check on tenants. ... Landlords can ask for information such as pay stubs or bank account statements to prove that you are able to afford the rent. Landlords can't force you to provide this information.
Unfortunately, there is no catch-all list of legitimate reasons for rejecting a rental applicant, but there is a general rule: landlords can reject tenants who are not qualified. A landlord does not have to provide a reason for rejecting every applicant.
Put it in writing. ... Tip the super. ... Call 311. ... Take your landlord and the city to court. ... Withhold rent. ... Work together with your neighbors. ... Do it yourself.
While a landlord has the right to refuse tenants, he cannot unlawfully discriminate against a tenant based on his race, religion, ethnicity, sexual orientation, medical disability or source of income. A landlord cannot refuse to rent you an apartment because you receive SSI (Supplemental Security Income).
Tenant background checks usually review a potential tenants' criminal history, credit report, and proof of income as well as eviction and employment histories.
Just what is rental history? It's essentially information on your past rental arrangements, which includes the likes of former addresses, late rent payments and evictions, as well as criminal history, your credit score and other data to help a landlord judge whether or not you're a good fit as a tenant.
When you fill out a rental application for an apartment, the apartment's landlord will most likely run a credit check to see your financial history. This is because your credit report and your credit score tell a potential landlord how reliable you will be as an apartment renter when paying your bills every month.
A background check for an apartment can include a national criminal background check, credit report, eviction history, and employment history. Specific landlords or property managers may choose to run one or all of these screenings and applicants will need to give signed consent to have a background check performed.
