How do you find out when a document was created?

View Document Properties in Word To view properties for an open document in Word, click the File tab and click on Info. On the right side of the window, the document properties are listed, including the Last Modified date, the date the document was Created, the Author, and the number of Words in the document.

How can I tell when an email attachment was created?

Try going to “prepare” (under the windows icon — top left), then “properties.” You'll see on the left a tab for “document properties” and you can choose “advanced properties.” Under the statistics in this section, you can see the date the document was originally created and the dates that the document was edited.

How do you change when a Word document was created?

Open the folder where your file is stored without actually opening the Word document. You'll see the creation date here. Right-click to open a menu of options and select “Change Attributes.” This will generate a window with the file properties where you can change the file creation date and other custom settings.
