How do I get rid of number stored as text error?

Next to the selected cell or range of cells, click the error button that appears. On the menu, click Convert to Number. (If you want to simply get rid of the error indicator without converting the number, click Ignore Error.) This action converts the numbers that are stored as text back to numbers.

How do I convert a number stored as text to number?

Select a blank cell that doesn't have this problem, type the number 1 into it, and then press Enter. Press CTRL + C to copy the cell. Select the cells that have numbers stored as text. On the Home tab, click Paste > Paste Special. Click Multiply, and then click OK.

How do I get rid of errors in Excel?

ERROR is the simplest solution. For example if your formula was =A1/A2 you would enter =ERROR(A1/A2,) to return a blank or =ERROR(A1/A2,0) to return a zero in place of the error. If you prefer, use an IF statement such as =IF(A2=0,0,A1/A2). This will return a zero if A2 contains a zero or is empty.
