How do I lock a PDF after signing?

Choose a Signature from the Sign As menu. Enter the Password for the selected digital signature. Select an Appearance, or choose To create New Appearance. Enable Lock Document After Signing if this option is available.

Can you redact a signed PDF?

Re: Is there a way to redact a digitally signed document? To that actual form the answer is no. If you flatten the page (or print to a new PDF--maybe better and keep the original) to make the signatures part of the form (of course they are no longer legal digital signatures), then you can redact the result.

How do you unlock a signed PDF?

Open the PDF that is attached in the Signed & Filed email. Click the 'Lock' icon in the upper-left corner of the page. Click the link labeled: 'Permission Details. ' In the “Security Method' drop down, select: 'No Security. ' Enter your unlock password and click the OK button three times.

How do I black out text in a PDF?

Open the PDF file to redact in Preview. Black out text using any method you want (e.g. use the rectangle annotation tool with black as the color and choose the thickest border. Then draw the shape as many times as needed until your document is blacked out.) File > Save As, and choose an image format such as PNG or GIF.
