The questions I get asked about the most is what type of picture should they send them. So today I want to share with you the secrets to taking good Polaroids and how to contact an agency Don't wear heavy makeup they want to see your face and your natural features so don't cover them up! You can wear some basic makeup though, like mascara or a natural color lipstick. Go for basic the intention is to show your figure. Sometimes they will ask for Polaroids in a bikini but if they don't specify to know you should wear a white, black or grey shirt or tank top and black jeans or at least jeans that show your curves. Wear high heels or boots. But remember if you are taking pictures in a bikini then choose high heels that make your legs longer instead of a boot that will make your legs look shorter Also, don't wear accessories. The background is very important; a white wall will do the trick but if you don't have one don't worry you can use any wall even a brick wall as long as they don't have anything on them Don't take pictures with harsh light on you. Be careful of the sun above your head. it's better to take pictures in the shadow for an even light Be careful of the shadows on your face. If the light is coming from the side then you might get weird shadows. Best is to take pictures with the light coming frontwards. There are 3 types of pictures agencies want to see. Full length, close up and portrait. Stand tall, shoulders back. Remember to leave some air between your legs and arms. Take your hips back to make them seem smaller. For a full length take the picture from below. Show your front and side. For a close-up remember your legs are still showing. Spread them and remember to pay attention to your face. Stand straight and confident For a portrait show your face smiling not smiling, show your hair and also tie it in a ponytail. now that we have the pictures all you need to do is send them to the agencies Trying with big agencies as well as small ones. Sometimes small agencies are great to get started since they don't have many girls on their board they will pay more attention to you and help you build your portfolio.
