Can anyone see private appointments in Outlook?
Outlook allows you to mark appointments as private, but the term is a bit misleading because the interface will still display the appointment by subject in Calendar view. However, people standing nearby can see those items on your calendar, if they're close enough.
Can Outlook delegates see private appointments?
Your delegate won't see any meetings or appointments that you've created and marked as private. They'll just see that there is a private appointment. If you want them to see (and edit) your private appointments, switch on the Delegate can see my private items option.
Who can see private Outlook appointments?
Outlook allows you to mark appointments as private, but the term is a bit misleading because the interface will still display the appointment by subject in Calendar view. You, as the appointment's owner, can open the appointment and view its details, but users you've granted read permission to can't.
How do I give someone access to delegates in Outlook?
To set up delegate access: Choose the File tab. Select Account Settings > Delegate Access. Click Add. Type the name of the person whom you want to designate as your delegate or search for the name and select it from the search results. Click Add > OK.
Can others see my appointments in Outlook?
How others see your calendar. Other staff can view your calendar using Outlook 2016 or Outlook Web App. When other staff view your calendar they will see your availability (free/busy information). They won't see the details of your appointments unless you have shared your calendar with them.

How do I prevent others from seeing my Outlook calendar?
Click the calendar icon in the navigation pane. Select the calendar you want to hide. On the Home tab, in the Share group, click Calendar Permissions. Click the Permissions tab and select Default. In the Permissions section set the permission for Read to None. Click OK to save your changes.
