Do I need a diploma to go to college? You will need a diploma to go to a four-year college, including public universities like the California State University or the University of California. However, in California, you only need to be 18 years or older to attend a community college. The requirements vary by college.
Can you go to college with an IEP diploma?
Admission of Students with IEP, Technical or Vocational Diplomas. APES does not accept IEP, Technical, or Vocational diplomas as the equivalent of a high school diploma. You may seek admission as a concurrent high school student, which means you must enroll in non-degree-seeking status.
Can you go to college with an IEP?
The short answer is there are no IEPs or 504 plans in college. The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), the law that provides students with IEPs, no longer applies to them once they graduate from high school.
