Great for using templates
I work in real estate investment and handle documents and other forms that are basically fill-ins for our tenants. PDF Filler has to make the job 300 times easier because it will add space or make everything look like its in its right space. It makes filling out a document legibly easy and fast so you then can be more productive in your work day.
There are similar programs that allow you to do the same thing it might change spacing, or other aspects of a document.

Which way do you put the paper in a fax machine?
Face Down. When you insert the document you want to fax with the printed side toward the machine, the document's text and graphics are face down against the tray. The fax machine then pulls the document down the tray and scans the document's content.
When scanning a document which side goes down?
There should be a mark showing which side. If scanning from the glass, face down, because the scanner is looking up from under the glass. If using the ADF (most people use ADF for fax for multiple page), face up. (The 8600 is capable of scanning double-sided, but if doing single side, face up).
