Ask your phone company for call tracing. With call tracing, you can dial *57 on your phone immediately after receiving a restricted call. If the number originated from within your local calling area, you'll be able to access the number.
It is possible to call back a restricted number on a cell phone or landline by dialing *69 as the next action after receiving such a call. This only works in situations when no other calls have been placed or received since the restricted contact.
With call tracing, you can dial *57 on your phone immediately after receiving a restricted call. If the number originated from within your local calling area, you'll be able to access the number.
It means that the caller has blocked, or “restricted” their number from your caller ID, so you will not know who is calling until you answer. You can: Answer the call and see who it is. Let the call go to voicemail to see if whoever it is leaves a message.
Open your device's Phone app. Tap More. Tap Settings Blocked numbers. Next to the number you want to unblock, tap Clear Unblock.
Instead of the usual name or phone number, the term “restricted” will show on the screen, which indicates that your call is restricted. This means the person or company trying to contact you does not want you to have their phone number displayed and have, thus, blocked it from public viewing with a restricted number.
To unmask a blocked call, simply decline it as soon as possible. It will be forwarded to Tropical to be unmasked. After a few seconds, the call will ring back to you with the number revealed. You can then answer the call, or decline it again to forward it to voicemail.
Trace Restricted Call With Code Last Call Return will call back the number of the last call that came into your phone, in some cases even giving you the number before calling. On a landline, you'll do this by dialing 69 as soon as possible, or #69 on a cellphone×.
Dial *67. Enter the full phone number you intend to call. (Make sure to include the area code!) Tap the Call button. The words Blocked, No Caller ID, or Private or some other indicators will appear on the recipient's phone instead of your mobile number.
