Great software, some things are not intuitive You can edit documents, replace text, add fillable fields, etc. Great for documents that are used often and just need a few details changed. "Replace text" can be difficult to use. Also the process of saving a document is kind of clunky.

Click or tap where you want to insert the content of the existing document. Go to Insert and select the arrow next to Object. Select Text from File. Locate the file that you want and then double-click it. To add in the contents of additional Word documents, repeat the above steps as needed.
Blank Page After a Full Page When you have completely filled a page with text or images, creating a new blank slate can be as simple as pressing the “Return” key following the last line of text on the page. At this point, a blank typing sheet should be created.
Another way is to create a desktop shortcut for Word. Clicking its icon automatically opens a blank document in which you can start typing. If you're writing a business letter and need formatting help, open Word, click the Office button in the upper-left corner of the window, and select New from the options listed.
Insert a blank page. To put a blank page into your Word document, place the cursor where you want the new page to begin and then click Insert > Blank Page. The blank page opens, ready for whatever you want to add. Another option when you need a little space is to insert a page break.
Use Worded, which comes standard with all Windows computers, to type your letter if only you need the ability to type. Worded can be found by going to your Start Menu, clicking on “All Programs,” then “Accessories” and selecting Worded.
The blank document that you start with when you open Word (Document1) and all documents that you create by pressing the New button on the Standard toolbar (Word 2003 and earlier) or choosing Blank Document in the New or Templates dialog or on the File | New tab (Word 2010 and above) are based on the Normal template
Start on a new page To start typing on a new page in your document, you insert a manual page break, or hard page break. The simplest way to do this is to press the Ctrl+Enter key combination. Word then begins a new page On That Very Spot.
Go to the VIEW tab, select Navigation Pane in the Show section, select the blank page thumbnail in the left panel, and press your delete key until it is removed.
