If you want to standardize the highlight color for similar text throughout the document, click on the 'Standardize' button.

A dialog box will appear asking you to confirm the standardization. Click 'Yes' to proceed.

You can also manually select additional text and apply the same highlight color by clicking on the 'Standardize' button again.

Click on the cursor tool in your toolbar, then highlight the text you'd like to edit. Right-click on the highlighted copy, and you'll be given a series of options including “Highlight Text,” “Replace Text” and “Add Note to Text.”
Select the “Highlight Area” tool and apply the desired highlighted area on the PDF document. Once the highlight is applied, right-click on the highlighted area. Select “Properties”. In the “Display” tab, select the desired color for the highlight area using the “Fill Color” option.
Click Markup > Pen > Highlight (H). Hold down the Ctrl key and draw a line over the text you want to highlight. Draw a straight line by holding down the Ctrl and Shift keys.
Highlight PDF Text Go to the “Comment” tab and select “Highlight”. Use your cursor to select the text you want to highlight. If you are looking highlight a large area of text, you also have the option of using the “Area Highlight” Button.
Click on “Tools” in the top menu bar. Select “Comment & Markups” and the “Highlight Text” tool. The highlight text tool is a square button that has the letter “T” inside that has been highlighted in yellow.
Click it to expand the Comment panel. Click “Annotations” or “Drawing Annotations”. To highlights parts of the PDF which are not text you'll need to use one of the drawing markup tools, such as Rectangle or Oval, and set their fill color to the highlight color you wish to use.
Microsoft is one of those software makers. If you have a printed copy of a document and would like to be able to edit it, you can do it using Word. Provided you scanned the document properly, Microsoft OneNote will capture any images and text in the document and send them to Word, in which you can easily edit them.
