I used the service like the service, but until I got to print a copy of the SR-1 form, I thought I was using the government's free website for submitting an SR-1 form. How to password-protect a PDF?
With pdfFiller, you can add a password to PDF and protect it in a few simple steps.
Use the Encrypted Folder in the Documents section to add a layer of security to your documents with two-factor authentication.
To activate the Encrypted Folder, enter your mobile phone number. Receive an activation code and create and confirm a password for the Folder.
To add documents to the Encrypted Folder, move them from any other folder. Lock the Encrypted Folder by clicking the key icon or wait for it to lock automatically after 10 minutes of inactivity.
Now your documents are securely stored in the Encrypted Folder and won’t appear in My Documents. Access them by entering the password you’ve set.

Can I encrypt PDF documents?
Yes, all the documents you have in your pdfFiller account can be password-protected with the help of the Encrypted Folder.
What is the Encrypted Folder?
The Encrypted Folder is a place to lock PDF documents with an additional layer of security. To access the folder and its contents, you will need to enter the password.
How do I activate my Encrypted Folder?
To activate, click Encrypted Folder in the Documents section, enter your mobile phone number, and then enter the activation code you receive via text message. After that, create and confirm your unique password.
I did not receive my Encrypted Folder activation code.
If you did not receive an activation code, click “Send the code again” at the bottom of the activation popup, and make sure your mobile phone number is entered correctly. Please keep in mind that the text message may take a few minutes to arrive.
What if I forget my Encrypted Folder password?
To reset your Encrypted Folder password, click “Forgot your password?” at the bottom of the Encrypted Folder login popup. You'll be returned to the authentication screen and asked to enter your mobile phone number again.
