PLEASE. Please no diving! If you must dive, please do so in the area adjacent to the pool, away from other divers. Please check with the committee office for requirements. In 2018, Harding Park will only accommodate 3 dive stations for your convenience. Please see below for more info. There is a large and busy swimming pool, so if you can't participate at one of the locations above, consider volunteering at another location on our list. Please ensure that your dive station is not located adjacent to the swimming pool. If there is a potential risk to the facility, please contact the Harding Park Golf Course office first. We recommend that there is 1-2 minutes between your dive and entrance to ensure optimal visibility. In general, the best option is to set up in the middle of the swimming pool, right behind the entry. From the middle line, look right into the pool. Your objective should be to position yourself in front of one of the two diving platforms (blue/black/dark green circles) located in the middle of that small section. From that point, your view will be blocked from the pool and from the diving tube, and you will need to look up to see the other platform. You will need to ensure that you are not in the path of the water running in the back of the pool. During some deeper dives, a safety float might be helpful. The float is placed near the edge of the pool, on the opposite side of the float's base from the diving platform. It is typically placed 10-15 feet away, and is there to help with the visibility and to help in the event of a rescue during your dive. It will also provide you with one less thing to worry about in a critical situation, should one occur. There is a 50 volunteer fee (per person) plus 1 per dive to attend our tournament. There is a maximum of 4 volunteers on-site for every tournament event. Please sign up for this event in the event you are interested. PLEASE NOTE: In 2018, Harding Park will not add any additional dive stations for your convenience. You will need to provide your own diver if you wish to participate this year. If you have any questions regarding this practice, please contact the Harding Park Golf Course office.
