Specifically: Please indicate if any of your responses are missing or cannot be identified by CDS. E. Data Analysis The CDS has been written to meet specific methodological requirements. It includes many specific fields for each analysis. You will review the list of columns and lines on the left side of the screen to determine what information is available for each analysis. The information that is available for each analysis of the CDS is provided through your institution, your response, and your response information. The analytical convention that is provided with the CDS is not necessarily the one you may need to use for that analysis. For example, you may need to use the CDS for a specific class of variables that you do not collect, report, or analyze. In this case, the CDS will identify the appropriate analytical convention or set of analytic conventions when it is called into use; however, you should not use it from the CDS when your analysis is limited to these specific types of data. For example, you may not need to use one analytical convention for a series of variable, or multiple analytical conventions to analyze a series of variables that you collect or report. If the CDS has been used to analyze a particular data set, you will find a number of columns and lines that discuss each column and line. These analytical conventions and sets of analytic conventions identify the appropriate data for each statistical analysis in the CDS. These analytic conventions or sets of analytic conventions apply to the data set under analysis, the analytical conventions or sets of analytic conventions used for that dataset, and the analytic conventions or sets of analytic conventions to be used for the subset of the data set for which you request the survey. For example, you may identify one type of analytical conventions for a series of variables, but you need different analytic conventions for the subset of the data in that series. We offer analytical convention lists for each of these datasets. See “Additional analytical conventions” below for examples of which types of analytic conventions are used for which datasets. We do not offer specific, additional analytical conventions. A. Data Collection and Collection Procedures A. Data collection procedures are presented in sections 10A and B in Appendix A in Appendix B of this policy. In particular: 9A.
