I like erasure feature in biz version. I find your index very hard to use. Where (what tab; how do I get there) is you general index of library contents and categories?

Your employer identification number (EIN), or VEIN, allows you to do business and report financial information to the Internal Revenue Service. However, an EIN number is a public record, making your company vulnerable to people who care less about your business.
No, Wins are not kept confidential and are a matter of public record. Therefore, it is important that you keep your EIN safe and secure to ensure that no one attempts to commit fraud by using your EIN.
Call the IRS Business & Specialty Tax Line at 800-829-4933. You will have to provide the details of your business to positively identify yourself (for example, the name and Social Security number of the owner). After establishing your identity, the IRS will provide you the EIN number for your business.
Your employer identification number (EIN), or VEIN, allows you to do business and report financial information to the Internal Revenue Service. However, an EIN number is a public record, making your company vulnerable to people who care less about your business.
Business owners listed as the registered agent can call the IRS at (800) 829-4933 to obtain the tax identification number. The EIN is also located on bank records or previous year tax returns.
The verification process for an authorized representative is simple. Call the IRS at (800) 829-4933. The IRS representative will request your identifying information. The representative will then give you the EIN number over the phone.
Note: EIN stands for Employer Identification Number. It's also called Federal Tax ID Number or VEIN. However, you can also get an EIN for your LLC before your LLC is approved, but we do not recommend doing this.
LCS may get a tax ID number from the IRS by using the IRS website, or by speaking with an IRS representative at 800-829-4933. An LLC may get a tax ID number by faxing or mailing Form SS-4 to the IRS.
A tax ID number is not required if you operate a sole proprietorship or an LLC with no employees, in which case you would simply use your own Social Security Number as a tax ID. But you must obtain an EIN if you are a sole proprietor who files pension or excise tax returns.
It is not possible to use the same EIN for different Entity types or for businesses that are not related. With one EIN, if any of the businesses under that number is sued, the assets of all the businesses are at risk. If you have multiple businesses that are taxed differently, such as a corporation and an LLC.
For Sole Proprietors, only one EIN can be issued to the individual. The Sole Proprietor may change business type/name by filing the appropriate documentation with his or her local municipality. For all other entities, there are no limits on the number of Wins one may file for new businesses.
When you change your business name, you generally do not have to file for a new EIN. Instead, you submit an EIN name change. If you change your name soon after you file your annual tax return, then you can inform the IRS of the EIN number change name through a signed notification, similar to a sole proprietorship.
