like the program overall. It took me longer than I anticipated to learn the navigation. Must have taken me like 2 hours just to find the forms catalog on the main screen.

1. How to change cell size in Excel. Alternatively, to make all cells the same size, press Ctrl + A and drag rows and columns to a desired pixel size (as you drag and resize, Excel will display the row height and column width in points / units and pixels).

3 Answers. Excel (and many other MS related apps) default to 96 pixels per inch. So your 103 pixel wide Excel column should be: 103 / 96 = 1.073 inches (Rounded to thousands.) Of course many printing options will change this, such as “Fit on one page.”
Column Widths. The standard column width corresponds to the average number of digits which can be contained in a cell according to the font selected. Assuming that the font is the default (Arial 10) the default column width is 8.43 (64 pixels). This represents the number of zeros that can be displayed in the column.
Measurement Units in Excel for Column Widths The column width dialog displays the standard column width of 8.43. You can type a new value to resize the column, naturally, but what does 8.43 represent? The column width is measured in characters, i.e. the default column width fits 8.43 characters.
