Protecting PDF files with Safeguard is very simple. Right-click on your PDF files, then in Safeguard Secure PDF Writer, choose the PDF protection options: Stop printing, allow printing or limit the number of prints. Add dynamic watermarks to viewed and or printed pages.
Click File > Info > Protect Document and select Restrict Editing. Your document then displays a Restrict Editing pane on the right-hand side of the document for formatting and editing restrictions. Here, you can give people permission to read your document, select what parts they can edit, and choose how they do it.
One-click option to protect a PDF with a password Choose File > Protect Using Password. Alternatively, you can choose Tools > Protect > Protect Using Password. Select if you want to set the password for Viewing or Editing the PDF. Type and retype your password.
First, open the Office document you would like to protect. Click the File menu, select the Info tab, and then select the Protect Document button. Click Encrypt with Password. Enter your password then click OK.
