Is there a way to lock conditional formatting?
Unlock the cells that you have conditional formatting on but want the user to modify. Then protect the worksheet, using the default lock settings shown of “Select locked cells” and “Select unlocked cells”. The cells can then be edited, but conditional formatting can't be changed.
Is there a way to lock Formatting in Google Sheets?
There is a built-in protect feature (either range, or sheet based) in Google Sheets, but this also stops you inserting new rows, which I still need to allow users to do. Format protection : As users input data into the spreadsheet over time, the formatting always breaks and/or gets changed.
