If you can't edit your payment information Try updating to the latest version of iOS or iPadOS or macOS. If you have subscriptions, have an unpaid balance, or share purchases with your Family Sharing group, you can't remove all payment information. Get help if you want to use no payment method with your Apple ID.
When you set up Family Sharing and turn on purchase sharing, one adult in the family the family organizer controls a single shared payment method for everyone in the family group. If a family member can't make a purchase, the family organizer can move a different payment method to the top of the list.
If you're in family sharing, you have to use the head of household credit card. Only way around it is to use a gift card. Buy a $25 gift card and load your account every time your credit balance falls below $10. That won't be every time you purchase.
If you're the family organizer, you can add multiple payment methods to your own Apple ID, but your family members can use only the first payment method in the list. If a family member can't make a purchase, the family organizer can move a different payment method to the top of the list.
Go to System Preferences, then select iCloud. Select Account Details. Select the Payment tab, then select Details. Update your payment information.
Go to Settings > [your name] > Family Sharing. If you're using iOS 10.2 or earlier, go to Settings > iCloud > Family. Tap your name as the organizer. Tap Stop Family Sharing.
If you turn off purchase sharing, each member keeps their purchases, even though they were paid for by the family organizer. If you don't want to pay for purchases of a specific adult family member, you can remove them from your family group or turn off purchase sharing for everyone.
On your Mac, choose Apple menu > System Preferences, click Family Sharing, then select Purchase Sharing in the sidebar. Open Family Sharing preferences for me. For Shared Payment Method, click Edit, then change the credit card information and billing address for your payment method.
