What is Structured Text Programming? Structured Text is PLC programming language defined by Playpen in IEC 61131-3. The programming language is text-based, compared to the graphics-based ladder diagram or Function Block Diagram. At first, it may seem better to use a graphical programming language for PLC programming.
One common example of structured text files is the use of Comma Separated Values (CSV) files. In CSV files, commas are not used as part of ordinary text, but instead are used to structure the text into columns. Regular Expression Delimited text files.
